Community Guidelines

Effective: 31 August 2026 · Last updated: 31 August 2026

Waythread is for sharing travel experiences and connecting respectfully. These guidelines apply to posts, profiles, comments, messages and other activity on Waythread.

1. Be respectful

Treat other people as people. Share useful experiences, ask questions in good faith, and respect different backgrounds, identities, cultures and travel choices.

Do not harass, bully, threaten, stalk, intimidate, shame or repeatedly contact someone after they have asked you to stop. Do not encourage others to target a person.

2. Keep Waythread safe

Do not post or send:

3. Share authentic travel content

Do not impersonate another person, invent affiliations, manipulate reviews or deliberately misrepresent travel experiences in a way that deceives people. Do not use stolen photos, videos or writing.

Be careful when sharing live locations, accommodation details, travel dates, documents or information that could put you or someone else at risk. Waythread does not verify every travel claim, recommendation, event or user.

4. No spam or abuse

5. Respect ownership and privacy

Only upload or share content when you have the necessary rights and permissions. Respect copyright, trade marks, privacy, publicity and other legal rights.

Do not publish another person’s name, address, phone number, email, workplace, travel itinerary, identification document or precise location without a lawful and appropriate reason and their permission.

6. Reporting and blocking

Use the in-app report tool when content or behaviour breaches these guidelines. Reports should be honest, specific and limited to information relevant to the issue. Misusing reports to target someone is itself a violation.

You can block users from their profile or conversation. Blocking is an important first step for unwanted contact; report serious or repeated abuse as well. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

7. How we moderate

We may review reports and use automated safety and rate-limit controls. Depending on the circumstances, we may remove content, limit its visibility, restrict a feature, suspend an account or permanently end access. We may preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary for safety, law enforcement or legal obligations.

We aim to apply these guidelines consistently, but we cannot review every item immediately and cannot guarantee that all harmful content will be detected. Context matters, and we may consider intent, history, severity and risk of harm.

8. Appeals and support

If you believe content or an account action was incorrect, contact waythreadapp@gmail.com with the relevant username, a description of the decision and any context you want us to consider. Do not send passwords, verification codes or access tokens.

For general help, visit Support. For the legal rules applying to use of Waythread, see the Terms of Service.

9. Our 18+ age requirement

Waythread is intended only for people aged 18 or over. Do not create an account for someone under 18 or help them bypass this requirement. Contact us if you believe someone under 18 is using Waythread.

10. Updates

We may update these guidelines as Waythread and community risks change. We will update the date above and may provide additional notice for significant changes.
